“In a qualitative achievement, the CELT has accomplished a leading level by receiving the Khalifa Award for Education in 2016 at the creative educational projects and programs category in the Arab world countries,” an official from the KSU media department said Sunday. The award was given to the CELT for the Promising Teachers Program of the center.
“The CELT has been considered for its activities and programs that have contributed directly to achieving the expectations of students and faculty members,” the official said.
He said that while conferring the award, the general secretariat of Khalifa Award acknowledged the rich contribution of the center, adding that this success of the CELT will raise the level of education in universities in the entire Arab world.
Saud Nasser Al-Kathiri, director of the center and assistant vice rector for educational and academic affairs for educational development, expressed happiness on behalf of the entire team for winning the award, which according to him has been accomplished by the great support of KSU administration.
“The continuous efforts of our colleagues at the center and the faculty members who participated in CELT’s programs have opened many opportunities and possibilities for the center to prosper and succeed,” he said. The award is given by the UAE government with the aim of ushering in a new dynamism in the educational process, in tune with contemporary advancements in scientific knowledge and information technology to enrich the development in the educational field and provide for an effective interaction between local, Arab and international contributors to the field.
